Description
GMP has matured and the configure system configures the ABI properly.
If anyone has any issues put it in this ticket. The note will be removed as it doesn't seem to be required anymore.
I haven't had this problem in many builds. This note was added in a very early version of GMP. I haven't witnessed an issue sinced GMP version 5 or 6. It may have been a problem in 3 and 4.
Of course, the ABI variable still does the job. If the note is no longer needed we should remove it.
