Description
Just caught up with my mail in lkml - 2.6.17.9 has been out since Friday, it is recommended for PPC970 systems with untrusted users (CVE-2006-4093).
The actual change is in http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=linux-kernel&m=115591970705473&w=2
it only affects arch/powerpc/kernel/cpu_setup_power4.S so the existing headers should be unaffected.
I think this ought to be in -rc4, at least if anybody apart from me has one of these ppc970 beasties, but I'm not clear what needs to be done.
