These are the notes for build CLFS on a Wallstreet G3 Laptop.

You can skip Yaboot, You will need a small MACOS Partition and Bootx ​http://penguinppc.org/historical/benh/BootX_1.2.2.sit

For the bravo who don't want to use Bootx. Try ​http://www.shiner.info/?info/miboot.txt The Linux 2000 PPC bin they reference is available at ​http://www.cross-lfs.org/~jim/LinuxPPC_Install.smi.bin

I use a 50mb MACOS partition and the remainder of the drive
For Sound to work properly, you will need to add the following to modprobe.conf

alias snd-card-0 snd-powermac
alias sound-slot-0 snd-powermac

You will also need to add the following line to any booloader used

video=atyfb:1024x768@60
