  <sect2 role="installation">
    <title>Installation of Coreutils</title>

    <para os="p1">A known issue with the <command>uname</command> program from
    this package is that the <option>-p</option> switch always
    returns <computeroutput>unknown</computeroutput>. The following patch
    fixes this behavior for all architectures:</para>

    <para os="aa">The following command updates the timestamps on the uname
    and hostname man pages so that the Makefile does not attempt to regenerate

    <para os="s1">Coreutils attempts to use the <command>install</command>
    program it just built to perform the install. This will not work if the
    target architecture is incompatible with the host architecture. The
    following command causes the Makefile to use the host's
    <command>install</command> to perform the install:</para>
