    <title>Installation of Coreutils</title>

    <para os="p1">Prevent Coreutils from installing binaries that will be
    installed by other packages:</para>

    <para os="p3">A known issue with the <command>uname</command> program from
    this package is that the <option>-p</option> switch always
    returns <computeroutput>unknown</computeroutput>. The following patch
    fixes this behavior for all architectures:</para>

    <para os="aa">When the uname patch was applied. A change was made to
    <filename>uname.c</filename>. This change is causing the man Makefile to
    try and regenerate the man page for uname. Since the compiled uname can
    not be executed the build will fail. The following command gives the uname
    man page a newer timestamp then <filename>uname.c</filename>.</para>
