I'm trying install development version of CLFS and its stops in this point:

This means that its failed to find the package and was not past his name for tar program, but the file is in the directory, but the symbolic link /sources -> /mnt/sis/sources, isn't created. I make the link but it's stops against:

Note: sis is the BUILD_DIR

I get an error when trying to move the libraries libshadow.{a,la,so} step of installation of shadow-4.1.2.

I search about this error in google and found this ticket: ​http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/ticket/2144

That page says that libraries are no longer necessary because the only programs that needed them were the tools of shadow and they no longer use them more in this version. Because of that they disabled the installation of them.

For CLFS development version this is true too? If yes, the book need to be updated

Last update in CLFS development version include GCC 4.2.4 and in the patches page have a reference to gcc-4.2.4-branch_update-2.patch, but it's an unused patch in all pages where GCC is compiled and this patch isn't found in address to download this.
